RECYCLED MATERIALS

In order to create a more sustainable fashion industry, we need to work towards recycling and reusing textile fibers on a much bigger scale than we do today. Acknowledging this have kick-started our transition to recycled fibers some years ago, such as recycled polyester, recycled polyamide, or recycled cotton.

Presently, our recycled polyester primarily comes from post-consumer plastic bottles and pre-consumer fabric scraps. Some of our recycled polyamide comes from recycled fishing nets and some from pre-consumer fabric scraps. And finally, our recycled cotton comes from post-consumer garments and pre-consumer fabric scraps.

Ultimately, our main goal is to use fibers made from recycled garments, which is why we are taking part in a research project to identify methods of recycling old fibers into new yarns, as these are still in the very initial stages. We believe that scientific advances and improved availability of truly circular fibers such as recycled cotton and recycled polyester made from recycled garments will help us achieve this goal.
